New Delhi, 31st Jan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at a rally in Dwarka, Delhi, on Friday, ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Modi described the ruling AAP government as being synonymous with “false promises, lies, and loot” and pledged to free the national capital from these issues.

“The AAP is spending on advertisements rather than making real infrastructural developments. They don’t care about the poor or middle class,” said Modi, addressing the gathering. He further added, “We must come together to rid Delhi of ‘jhooth’ (lies) and ‘loot’.” The elections are set for February 5, with votes to be counted on February 8.

Modi used the occasion to highlight the newly inaugurated Yashobhoomi convention centre in Dwarka as an example of the BJP’s vision for a modern Delhi. “The BJP wants to make Delhi modern, and you can see a glimpse of that in Dwarka with the majestic Yashobhoomi,” Modi remarked.

Accusing the AAP of using Delhi as a “political ATM” to fund its ambitions in other states, Modi claimed, “AAP-da (AAP disaster) has looted Delhi’s money and is using it for its political expansion elsewhere. They are taking money out of Delhiites’ pockets.”

The Prime Minister also criticized the AAP for engaging in constant disputes rather than focusing on governance. “For years, they’ve been fighting— with Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and with the Centre. If such people continue to rule Delhi, the city will continue to lag behind,” he warned.

Assuring the people of Delhi, Modi promised that a BJP government would tackle corruption head-on. “Once the BJP forms the government, we will take strict action against AAP-da’s corruption,” he stated. He also vowed to expose the AAP government’s wrongdoings, referencing a critical Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report. “In the first session of the Vidhan Sabha, we will table the CAG report, which exposes AAP-da’s scams,” Modi pledged.

The Prime Minister concluded by reaffirming his commitment to Delhi’s progress, stating, “I guarantee that the BJP government will leave no stone unturned in the city’s development.” He stressed the need for a government focused on solutions and coordination rather than conflict. “Delhi needs a government that thrives on solving problems, not on creating confrontations,” Modi concluded.
