New Delhi, 7th Dec: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed heartfelt gratitude to the nation’s soldiers, air warriors and sailors on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, paying tribute to their courage, discipline and unwavering dedication to safeguarding India.
In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister said the Armed Forces stand as a pillar of strength for the nation, protecting its borders and inspiring citizens through their exemplary sense of duty. He described their resolve and indomitable spirit as foundational to India’s security and collective confidence.
“On Armed Forces Flag Day, we express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who protect our nation with unwavering courage. Their discipline, resolve and spirit shield our people and strengthen our nation. Their commitment stands as a powerful example of duty, discipline and devotion to our nation,” he wrote.
The Prime Minister also urged people across the country to contribute generously to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, which supports war veterans, disabled soldiers and families of those who laid down their lives in service of the nation.
“Let us also contribute to the Armed Forces Flag Day fund,” he appealed, reinforcing the importance of public participation in honouring the sacrifices made by the defence forces.
Armed Forces Flag Day, observed annually on December 7, is dedicated to commemorating the valour of India’s military personnel and offering support to their welfare initiatives.
