New Delhi, 18th Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin today. During the call, President Putin shared his assessment of his recent meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Alaska.
Prime Minister Modi thanked President Putin and reiterated India’s consistent position in favor of a peaceful resolution to conflicts through diplomacy and dialogue. He emphasized India’s support for all efforts aimed at achieving this goal.
The two leaders also discussed several issues of bilateral cooperation, with the aim of further strengthening the “Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership” between India and Russia. They agreed to remain in close contact to continue their discussions.
