New Delhi, 12th Jan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary on Monday, marking National Youth Day and underscoring the enduring relevance of the great philosopher’s teachings for modern India.

In a message, the Prime Minister said that Swami Vivekananda’s personality and works continue to infuse fresh energy into the nation’s resolve to build a developed India.

“My wish is that this divine occasion of National Youth Day brings new strength and new self-confidence for all fellow citizens, especially our young companions,” Modi said.

Taking to social media platform X, the Prime Minister described Swami Vivekananda as an enduring source of inspiration for India’s youth and offered respectful tributes to the spiritual leader.

National Youth Day is observed every year on January 12 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and to recognise his contribution in inspiring generations of young Indians towards character-building, self-belief and national service.
