New Delhi, 19th Feb: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his Jayanti, remembering him as a visionary leader, exceptional administrator, and champion of Swarajya.
In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister said Shivaji Maharaj’s courage continues to inspire, his governance serves as a guiding light, and his spirit of justice and self-respect strengthens society even today.
Modi emphasized that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj always placed the welfare of every individual above all else and dedicated himself to their protection. He said this unwavering commitment is why the Maratha ruler’s life remains a beacon for India across generations.
“On the Jayanti of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, we bow in reverence to the visionary leader, exceptional administrator, strategic thinker and champion of Swarajya. May his courage inspire us, his governance guide us and his spirit of justice and self-respect strengthen our society,” the Prime Minister wrote.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is widely regarded for establishing a strong and inclusive administration and laying the foundation of a resilient and self-reliant state.
