New Delhi, 23rd Dec: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tributes to former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on his birth anniversary, remembering his enduring contribution to agriculture, farmers’ welfare and nation-building.
In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister said Charan Singh dedicated his life to the welfare of the deprived sections of society and to the progress of agriculture. “A grateful nation can never forget his contributions to nation-building,” he said.
Posting in Hindi, PM Modi wrote, “पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री भारत रत्न चौधरी चरण सिंह जी को उनकी जयंती पर आदरपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि। उन्होंने समाज के वंचित वर्गों के कल्याण के साथ-साथ कृषि की प्रगति और किसानों की समृद्धि के लिए अपना जीवन समर्पित कर दिया। राष्ट्र निर्माण में उनके योगदान को कृतज्ञ राष्ट्र कभी भुला नहीं सकता।”
