New Delhi, 30th Jan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on his death anniversary, remembering Bapu’s enduring ideals and his emphasis on Swadeshi.

In his message, the Prime Minister said that Mahatma Gandhi always laid strong emphasis on Swadeshi, which remains a fundamental pillar of India’s resolve for becoming a developed and self-reliant nation. He added that Gandhi’s personality and life’s work will continue to inspire the people of the country to walk on the path of duty.

Taking to X, the Prime Minister wrote that Bapu’s ideals of Swadeshi and self-reliance are deeply connected to the vision of Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat. He said Gandhi’s thoughts and actions will forever guide citizens towards responsibility, service, and national commitment.

Mahatma Gandhi, who was assassinated on January 30, 1948, is remembered across the country for his leadership in India’s freedom struggle and his timeless message of truth, non-violence, and self-reliance.
