New Delhi, 14th June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a telephone call from his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu, who briefed him on the rapidly evolving situation between Israel and Iran. The call comes amidst heightened tensions in the Middle East following recent military actions.

During the conversation, Prime Minister Netanyahu provided details on the latest developments in the ongoing standoff. Prime Minister Modi, in response, conveyed India’s deep concern over the situation. He emphasized the urgent need for the early restoration of peace and stability in the region, a stance consistent with India’s long-held position on de-escalation.

Both leaders concluded their call by agreeing to remain in touch, signaling ongoing diplomatic engagement as the situation continues to unfold. The call was reported by PIB Delhi at 11:15 PM IST.
