New Delhi, 7th Jan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday received a telephone call from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the two leaders exchanged New Year greetings and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the India-Israel Strategic Partnership.
Both leaders wished the people of India and Israel peace and prosperity and identified shared priorities to deepen bilateral ties in the year ahead, guided by democratic values, mutual trust and a forward-looking vision.
They reiterated their zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and reaffirmed their resolve to jointly combat the menace.
Prime Minister Netanyahu briefed Prime Minister Modi on the implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan. Modi reaffirmed India’s consistent support for efforts aimed at achieving a just and durable peace in the region.
The two leaders also exchanged views on key regional and global issues of mutual interest and agreed to remain in touch.
