PM Modi Modi Condoles Loss of Lives in Bihar Road Accident Tragedy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound sorrow over the tragic road accident that claimed the lives of nine individuals in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district. The accident occurred in the early hours because of a head-on collision between a truck and a tempo along the Lakhisarai-Sikandra main road.

According to police reports, the victims, who were returning from a wedding ceremony, were fatally injured in the collision, while five others sustained injuries. The deceased have been identified as Veer Paswan, Vikas Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Dibana Paswan, Amit Kumar, Monu Kumar, Kisan Kumar, and Manoj Goswami, with many of them belonging to Munger.

Expressing his condolences, Prime Minister Modi stated, “The road accident that happened in Lakhisarai, Bihar is very sad. My condolences to those who lost their loved ones in this accident. Along with this, I wish speedy recovery of all the injured.” He also assured that the local administration, under the guidance of the state government, is actively engaged in providing assistance to the victims.

Providing further details, Lakshisarai Superintendent of Police, Pankaj Kumar, revealed that the accident occurred around 3 am, resulting in the immediate loss of nine lives. The injured individuals were promptly transported to the nearest government hospital for medical treatment.

The SP added that the victims were returning from a wedding ceremony when the tragic incident occurred. Authorities have seized the truck involved in the accident, and an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
