Itanagar, 22nd Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met local traders and retailers in Itanagar today, engaging with them on the vibrant array of products they showcased.

During the interaction, the traders expressed their appreciation for the GST reforms, highlighting the positive impact on their businesses.

In support of the government’s Swadeshi campaign, PM Modi distributed posters reading ‘Garv Se Kaho Yeh Swadeshi Hai’, which traders said they would proudly display in their shops.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi remarked, “As the sun rose today, so did a new chapter in India’s economic journey, with the start of GST Bachat Utsav. And, what better place to be than Arunachal Pradesh, India’s beautiful Land of the Rising Sun. In Itanagar, I met local traders and retailers who showcased a vibrant range of products, including aromatic teas, flavourful pickles, turmeric, bakery goods, handicrafts, and more. They expressed joy on the GST reforms. Also gave them posters of ‘Garv Se Kaho Yeh Swadeshi Hai’, which they said they will enthusiastically display on their shops.”

The event underscores the government’s emphasis on supporting local businesses, promoting Swadeshi products, and highlighting the benefits of the GST reforms across the country.
