New Delhi, 19th March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held a telephonic conversation with Emmanuel Macron, focusing on the evolving situation in West Asia and the urgent need for de-escalation.

During the discussion, both leaders expressed concern over the rising tensions in the region and emphasised the importance of returning to dialogue and diplomacy to restore peace and stability.

“Spoke with my dear friend, President Emmanuel Macron, on the situation in West Asia and the urgent need for de-escalation,” Modi said in a post on X.

The two leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination between India and France to promote stability not only in West Asia but across the global landscape.
