New Delhi, 1st August: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended an invitation to all citizens to contribute their thoughts and ideas for his upcoming address on the 79th Independence Day. He will deliver the speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort on August 15.

In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister wrote: “As we approach this year’s Independence Day, I look forward to hearing from my fellow Indians! What themes or ideas would you like to see reflected in this year’s Independence Day speech? Share your thoughts on the Open Forums on MyGov and the NaMo App.”

The initiative provides citizens with a platform to directly engage with the government and offer suggestions on key issues and themes for the national address. The Prime Minister’s office has shared dedicated links to the MyGov platform and the NaMo App where people can submit their ideas. This practice of seeking public input for his Independence Day speech has been a recurring feature of Prime Minister Modi’s tenure, aiming to incorporate citizen perspectives into the national discourse.
