PM Modi Inaugurates Transformative Developmental Projects worth Rs 1,06,000 crores in Ahmedabad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation a series of developmental projects worth over Rs 1,06,000 crores in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

These projects extend over various sectors, including railway infrastructure, connectivity, and petrochemicals, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering economic growth and progress.

Among the key highlights of the event, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated multiple sections of the Dedicated Freight Corridor project, a critical initiative aimed at enhancing freight transportation efficiency across the country. Additionally, he flagged off 10 new Vande Bharat trains, marking a significant stride in India’s high-speed rail network.

In a significant move towards bolstering India’s energy infrastructure, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the Petrochemicals complex of Petronet LNG at Dahej, a project valued at more than Rs 20,000 crores. This complex will play a pivotal role in boosting hydrogen production and meeting the rising demand for polypropylene in the country.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the transformative impact of these projects on India’s development trajectory.

He highlighted the government’s relentless efforts in inaugurating or laying the foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 11 lakh crores in the first 75 days of 2024 alone, with Rs 7 lakh crores unveiled in the past 10-12 days.

PM Modi reiterated his vision for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), stressing the importance of infrastructure development in realizing this goal. He underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to modernizing the railways, citing initiatives such as the introduction of next-generation trains like Vande Bharat, NaMo Bharat, and Amrit Bharat, as well as the redevelopment of over 1300 railway stations.

Furthermore, PM Modi highlighted the government’s focus on promoting indigenous manufacturing through initiatives like ‘Make in India’. He noted that the manufacturing of railway trains, tracks, and stations is fostering an ecosystem of self-reliance and export competitiveness, with Made in India locomotives and coaches being exported to various countries.

PM Modi also emphasized that these development projects are not mere electoral strategies but a mission of nation-building. He assured the nation that the government remains committed to addressing the aspirations of the people and ensuring a bright future for the youth.

In conclusion, Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed his commitment to advancing India’s railways at the pace of modernity, emphasizing that the government’s initiatives are laying the foundation for a prosperous and self-reliant nation.

The event was attended by dignitaries including the Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, and Union Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaisnaw, among others, reflecting the significance of these developmental endeavors.
