New Delhi, 26th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday lauded the growing role of women in India’s economic development while interacting virtually with beneficiaries of Bihar’s Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana.
Addressing women from West Champaran, Bhojpur, Gaya and Purnea districts, the Prime Minister said every Central and State initiative is aimed at “women’s welfare and empowerment,” calling their achievements “a festival of women-led progress.”
PM Modi urged the participants to share their success stories so that more women could draw inspiration. Several beneficiaries narrated how the state scheme, coupled with Central programmes such as Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, free electricity connections and health insurance, helped them launch small businesses, secure livelihoods and improve their families’ quality of life.
The Prime Minister praised their entrepreneurship, highlighting the contribution of self-help groups in turning many into “Lakhpati Didis.”
He said the government will continue to support such grassroots initiatives, describing women as the “real drivers of a developed India.”
