PM Modi Hails QS Rankings 2026, Reaffirms Push for Research and Innovation for Youth

New Delhi, 19th June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday welcomed the release of the QS World University Rankings 2026, calling it a reflection of India’s rising global stature in education and research. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the research and innovation ecosystem to empower India’s youth.

Reacting to a post by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on social media platform X, the Prime Minister wrote, “The QS World University 2026 Rankings bring great news for our education sector. Our Government is committed to furthering research and innovation ecosystems for the benefit of India’s youth.”

The PM’s remarks come amid growing global recognition for Indian institutions, with several universities making significant improvements in the latest QS rankings.

The statement highlights the Centre’s focus on policies aimed at transforming India into a knowledge superpower by nurturing talent, expanding research capabilities, and encouraging innovation across higher education institutions.
