New Delhi, 19th March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended his greetings to citizens across the country on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, wishing prosperity, good health and renewed energy for the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

In a series of posts on X, the Prime Minister highlighted the spiritual significance of the festival, which marks the worship of Goddess Durga in her various forms. He shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam and a devotional hymn dedicated to Goddess Shailaputri, the first form of Durga worshipped on the opening day of Navratri.

“Warm wishes to my family members across the country on Navratri. May this sacred festival of Shakti bring happiness, prosperity and good health to everyone. With the blessings of Maa Durga, may our resolve for a developed India gain new energy,” he said.

Referring to Goddess Shailaputri, the Prime Minister expressed hope that her blessings would bring peace, discipline and positivity into people’s lives.

He also offered prayers to Goddess Durga, seeking her blessings for the welfare of all citizens. “I bow to Maa Durga and pray that her grace ensures the well-being of everyone,” he added.

Navratri, one of India’s most widely celebrated festivals, symbolises the triumph of good over evil and is observed with devotion, fasting and cultural festivities across the country.
