New Delhi, 14th Jan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended warm greetings to citizens across the country on the auspicious occasions of Makar Sankranti, Uttarayan and Magh Bihu, highlighting the festivals’ spiritual and cultural significance.
In messages shared on X, the Prime Minister said Makar Sankranti symbolises harmony, prosperity and the spirit of togetherness, reflecting the richness of India’s cultural traditions. He expressed hope that the sweetness of til and gur would bring joy, success and prosperity to every household, while invoking the blessings of Surya Dev for the welfare of the nation.
Sharing a Sanskrit Subhashitam, Shri Modi underlined the sacred importance of the festival and prayed for happiness, good health and well-being of all citizens as the country enters the auspicious phase of Uttarayan.
The Prime Minister also extended greetings on the occasion of Uttarayan and Magh Bihu, wishing everyone happiness and prosperity, and noting that the festival is celebrated across different regions of India with diverse local traditions.
He prayed that Surya Dev bless all citizens with good fortune, health and success, and that these festivals strengthen unity and harmony across the nation.
