New Delhi, 15th Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt greetings to the nation on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day. In posts on X, he urged citizens to continue working hard to realize the dreams of freedom fighters and build a “Viksit Bharat,” or Developed India.

In his English post, he said, “Wishing everyone a very happy Independence Day. May this day inspire us to keep working even harder to realise the dreams of our freedom fighters and build a Viksit Bharat. Jai Hind!” He also shared a similar message in Hindi.

President Droupadi Murmu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and other prominent leaders also extended their greetings on the national holiday. The nation is celebrating the day with a renewed sense of pride, with major events scheduled across the country, including the Prime Minister’s customary address from the ramparts of the Red Fort in Delhi.
