New Delhi, 29th March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended his greetings on the occasion of the ongoing Madhavpur Mela being held in Porbandar, Gujarat, highlighting its cultural significance and national integration message.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said the festival reflects India’s rich cultural heritage while strengthening the enduring bond between Gujarat and the Northeastern states.

“This vibrant celebration highlights our glorious culture and at the same time it reinforces the timeless cultural bond between Gujarat and the Northeast,” Modi said.

Describing the event as a reflection of unity in diversity, he added that the festival brings together varied traditions and embodies the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

The Prime Minister also encouraged people to visit the fair and experience its cultural richness firsthand.

Madhavpur Mela, celebrated annually in coastal Gujarat, commemorates the legendary marriage of Lord Krishna and Rukmini and serves as a cultural bridge between western and northeastern India.
