New Delhi, 27th July: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt greetings to all Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel on their Raising Day today, July 27, 2025. In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) at 9:40 AM, the Prime Minister lauded the force for its invaluable contributions to national security.
PM Modi stated that CRPF personnel have distinguished themselves through their unwavering duty, courage, and steadfast commitment, even in the most challenging circumstances. He highlighted the force’s vital role in India’s security apparatus, particularly in addressing critical internal security challenges. The Prime Minister also commended their significant contributions in overcoming humanitarian challenges.
CRPF Raising Day commemorates the founding of the Central Reserve Police Force on July 27, 1939, as the Crown Representative’s Police. Renamed the Central Reserve Police Force in 1949, it has since grown to become India’s largest central police force, playing a pivotal role in maintaining law and order, conducting counter-insurgency and anti-Naxal operations, and assisting civil administration across the nation.
