PM praises CISF for safeguarding critical infrastructure and strengthening national security

New Delhi, 10th March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended greetings to the personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on the occasion of the force’s Raising Day, praising their dedication and contribution to safeguarding India’s critical infrastructure.
In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister lauded the CISF for its discipline, determination and commitment to duty.
“Warm greetings to all personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force on their Raising Day,” Modi said.
He highlighted the important role played by the force in protecting vital installations and infrastructure across the country.
“Known for their determination, discipline and dedication, CISF plays a vital role in safeguarding critical infrastructure across the nation. Their unwavering commitment to duty contributes greatly to India’s security and progress,” the Prime Minister said in his post.
The Central Industrial Security Force, established in 1969, is responsible for providing security to critical infrastructure such as airports, metro networks, nuclear installations, space establishments, government buildings and major industrial units across India.
Over the years, the CISF has expanded its role to include aviation security, disaster response and protection of important public sector undertakings, making it a key pillar of India’s internal security framework.
