PM Modi Extends Navy Day Greetings to Indian Navy Personnel

Highlights courage, maritime security contributions and INS Vikrant Diwali visit

New Delhi, 4th Dec: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended greetings to all personnel of the Indian Navy on the occasion of Navy Day, praising their courage, professionalism and commitment to safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests.

In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister said the Indian Navy embodies “exceptional courage and determination” and continues to strengthen the country’s security architecture through its focus on self-reliance and modernisation in recent years.

He added that he “can never forget” spending Diwali earlier this year aboard INS Vikrant with naval personnel, calling it a memorable moment that highlighted the spirit of service and dedication within the naval ranks.

“Navy Day greetings to all personnel of the Indian Navy,” he wrote. “They safeguard our shores and uphold our maritime interests… Wishing the Indian Navy the very best for their endeavours ahead.”

Officials said the Prime Minister’s message reflects the Government’s recognition of the Navy’s growing role in ensuring regional stability and maritime security.
