PM Modi Extends Greetings on Sandhya Arghya of Chhath Puja

New Delhi, 27th Oct: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended his heartfelt greetings to citizens across the country on the occasion of the Sandhya Arghya ritual of Chhath Puja, one of the most revered festivals dedicated to the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya.
Marking the occasion, the Prime Minister also shared devotional songs dedicated to Chhathi Maiya on his social media handle X (formerly Twitter).
In his post, PM Modi wrote, “Heartfelt wishes to my family members across the country on the sacred occasion of Sandhya Arghya during Chhath Mahaparv. Our tradition of offering Arghya to the setting Sun is truly unique. May the blessings of Lord Surya bring well-being, happiness, prosperity, and success to all. Jai Chhathi Maiya!”

The Chhath Puja, celebrated mainly in Bihar, Jharkhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh, and parts of Nepal, is observed with devotion and purity to express gratitude to the Sun God for sustaining life on earth and to seek blessings for prosperity and happiness.
