New Delhi, 28th Oct: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his greetings and best wishes to devotees across the country on the conclusion of the Chhath Mahaparv — the four-day festival dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, Bhagwan Suryadev, and Chhathi Maiya.

In his message, the Prime Minister said that the grand celebration of Chhath concluded today with the morning offering of arghya to Bhagwan Suryadev. He observed that during the festival, people across the nation witnessed the divine splendour and rich cultural heritage of India’s glorious Chhath Puja tradition.

Extending his heartfelt wishes to all devotees and families who observed the festival, Prime Minister Modi prayed that the blessings of Chhathi Maiya continue to illuminate every life with happiness and prosperity.

Chhath Puja, primarily celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh, and parts of Nepal, is observed with deep devotion and purity. The festival involves rituals that include Nahay-Khay, Kharna, and the offering of arghya to the setting and rising sun, symbolizing gratitude, discipline, and reverence for nature.
