PM Modi Extends Congratulations as BJP Triumphs Resoundingly in MP Local Body Polls

New Delhi, 18th July. In the first phase of the post of mayor elections in Madhya Pradesh, BJP triumphed resoundingly, securing 7 out of 11 municipal corporations. The Aam Aadmi Party candidate won in one Municipal Corporation, while the Congress candidate won in three.

The remaining five cities’ votes will be counted on July 20 during the second phase.

Pushyamitra Bhargava, the BJP’s Mayor Candidate in Indore Municipal Corporation, won by more than 1 lakh 33 thousand votes. Malti Rai of the BJP won Bhopal by over 98 thousand votes.

The BJP also won Khandwa, Satna, Sagar, Ujjain, and Burhanpur, while the Congress got Jabalpur, Gwalior, and Chhindwara and the Aam Aadmi Party took Singrauli. The BJP holds a comfortable majority in 27 of the state’s 36 municipalities.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated voters in Madhya Pradesh civic elections for their support for the BJP. PM Modi stated in a tweet that this win represents the people’s undying support in the state government of Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He congratulated all of the successful candidates as well as party workers.
