PM Modi Expresses Happiness Over Bharat Ratna to Former Bihar CM Karpoori Thakur

New Delhi, 24th Jan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed happiness over the decision of Bharat Ratna given to pioneer of social justice and Former Chief Minister of Bihar Karpoori Thakur posthumously.
The President Office in an order announced on Tuesday, “The President has been pleased to award Bharat Ratna to Shri Karpoori Thakur (posthumously).”
PM Modi said that on the occasion of Karpoori Thakur’s birth centenary, this decision will make the countrymen proud. His unwavering commitment and visionary leadership for the upliftment of the backward and the deprived has left an indelible mark on the socio-political scenario of India.
The Prime Minister posted on X, “I am delighted that the Government of India has decided to confer the Bharat Ratna on the beacon of social justice, the great Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Ji and that too at a time when we are marking his birth centenary. This prestigious recognition is a testament to his enduring efforts as a champion for the marginalized and a stalwart of equality and empowerment.
