New Delhi, 24th Dec: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated India’s space scientists and engineers for the successful launch of BlueBird Block-2 aboard the LVM3-M6 launch vehicle, calling it a proud milestone in India’s space journey.
BlueBird Block-2, a spacecraft of the United States, is the heaviest satellite ever launched from Indian soil into its intended orbit. The Prime Minister said the successful mission reflects India’s growing technological strength and its commitment towards building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
In a post on X, Modi said the launch strengthens India’s heavy-lift launch capability and reinforces the country’s rising role in the global commercial launch market.
“With LVM3 demonstrating reliable heavy-lift performance, we are strengthening the foundations for future missions such as Gaganyaan, expanding commercial launch services and deepening global partnerships,” he said.
He further noted that the achievement highlights the increasing capabilities of India’s space programme, powered by youth and innovation, and will serve as a strong foundation for upcoming human spaceflight missions and international collaborations.
Congratulating ISRO scientists and engineers, Modi said India continues to soar higher in the world of space, setting new benchmarks in self-reliance, technological excellence and global cooperation.
