PM Modi Congratulates Four Eminent Personalities Nominated to Rajya Sabha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended his heartfelt congratulations to four eminent personalities who have been nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the President of India. In a series of posts on social media platform X, the Prime Minister praised the contributions of each nominee, describing their achievements as inspirational and valuable to the nation’s progress.

The four distinguished individuals nominated are Ujjwal NikamC. Sadanandan MasterHarsh Vardhan Shringla, and Dr. Meenakshi Jain.

Legal Luminary Ujjwal Nikam
Hailing him as a beacon of constitutional values and justice, the Prime Minister said,

“Shri Ujjwal Nikam’s devotion to the legal field and to our Constitution is exemplary. He has not only been a successful lawyer but also been at the forefront of seeking justice in important cases… My best wishes for his Parliamentary innings.”

Nikam, known for prosecuting high-profile cases including the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, has built a formidable reputation for upholding the dignity of victims and reinforcing public faith in justice.

C. Sadanandan Master: A Life of Courage
Calling C. Sadanandan Master an embodiment of resilience, PM Modi remarked,

“Violence and intimidation couldn’t deter his spirit towards national development… He is extremely passionate towards youth empowerment. Best wishes for his role as MP.”

A teacher and social activist from Kerala, Sadanandan Master has faced physical attacks and threats over the years but remains committed to social reform and education.

Harsh Vardhan Shringla: Diplomat Turned Lawmaker
Applauding the nomination of Harsh Vardhan Shringla, former Foreign Secretary and India’s G20 Sherpa, PM Modi stated,

“He has excelled as a diplomat, intellectual and strategic thinker… His unique perspectives will greatly enrich Parliamentary proceedings.”

Shringla played a pivotal role in shaping India’s foreign relations and steering global dialogue during the country’s G20 Presidency.

Dr. Meenakshi Jain: Scholar and Historian
The Prime Minister described the nomination of Dr. Meenakshi Jain as a moment of “immense joy.”

“She has distinguished herself as a scholar, researcher and historian… Her work in education, literature, history and political science have enriched academic discourse significantly.”

An academic known for her deep research into Indian history and civilization, Dr. Jain’s presence in the Upper House is expected to bolster intellectual depth in debates and policy formulation.
