New Delhi, 1st Oct: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and widespread destruction caused by the earthquake in the Philippines.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister extended condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured. He further assured that India stands in solidarity with the Philippines during this difficult time.
“Deeply saddened to learn about the loss of lives and widespread damage caused by the earthquake in the Philippines. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. India stands in solidarity with the Philippines at this difficult time,” the Prime Minister posted, tagging Philippines President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
The earthquake has led to significant casualties and damage, with relief and rescue operations currently underway.
