New Delhi, 24th Oct: Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the loss of lives in a tragic mishap in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, and announced financial assistance for the victims.
An ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased, while the injured will receive ₹50,000.
The PMO India posted on X:
“Extremely saddened by the loss of lives due to a mishap in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. My thoughts are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.
An ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given ₹50,000: PM @narendramodi”
The announcement comes in the wake of the bus fire in Kurnool, which claimed multiple lives and left several injured, prompting swift action from the Prime Minister’s Office.
