Prime Minister expresses grief, offers financial assistance to victims’ families

New Delhi, 13th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the tragic mishap in Hassan, Karnataka.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, “The mishap in Hassan, Karnataka, is heart-rending. In this tragic hour, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. I hope those who have been injured recover at the earliest.”
He announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured.
