New Delhi, 12th Nov: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Imkong L. Imchen, a senior political leader from Nagaland known for his years of dedicated public service and commitment to tribal welfare.

In his condolence message, the Prime Minister said that Imchen would be remembered for his outstanding contribution to Nagaland’s development, highlighting his active involvement in public life and tireless efforts to uplift tribal communities.

“Shri Imkong L. Imchen Ji will be remembered for his outstanding contribution to Nagaland’s development. He had been active in public life for several years and was particularly passionate about welfare of tribal communities. His legislative and ministerial tenures will be fondly remembered. He also contributed towards strengthening the BJP in Nagaland. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this sad hour,” the Prime Minister said in a post on X.
