PM Modi Condoles Dausa Accident, Announces Relief

New Delhi, 13th Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep sadness over the loss of lives in a road accident that occurred in Dausa, Rajasthan. He has announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured.

According to police, a pick-up van carrying devotees crashed into a parked truck in the early hours of Wednesday on the Dausa-Manoharpur Highway. The victims were reportedly returning from the Khatu Shyam temple when the incident occurred. The accident resulted in the death of 11 people, including seven children, and left eight others injured. Most of the victims were residents of Etah district in Uttar Pradesh.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) posted a message on X, stating, “Deeply saddened by the loss of lives in an accident in Dausa, Rajasthan. Condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
