New Delhi, 3rd March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a telephonic conversation with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, during which the two leaders exchanged views on the evolving situation in West Asia.

During the discussion, the Prime Minister strongly condemned the violation of Oman’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He underscored India’s firm position on respecting national sovereignty amid heightened regional tensions.

Both leaders agreed that sustained diplomatic engagement is crucial for the earliest restoration of peace and stability in the region.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his deep appreciation for Oman’s continued support and care extended to the Indian community residing in the Gulf nation.

Sharing details of the conversation on X, PM Modi said he had exchanged views on recent developments in West Asia, reiterated India’s condemnation of the violation of Oman’s sovereignty, and emphasized the importance of diplomatic efforts to restore regional stability.
