PM Modi Commends Indian Diaspora for Enhancing India-UAE Bilateral Relations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered an inspiring address to the Indian community in the UAE at the much-anticipated ‘AHLAN MODI’ event, organized in his honor by the Indian diaspora residing in the Emirates.

The event, which saw participation from Indians across all seven Emirates and diverse communities, also welcomed Emirati guests, exemplifying the strong bonds between the two nations.

Amidst a jubilant atmosphere, Prime Minister Modi was warmly greeted by the enthusiastic crowd of 40,000 attendees as he entered the Zayed Sports City stadium in Abu Dhabi.

In his address, he commended the invaluable contributions of the Indian diaspora in further bolstering the bilateral relations between India and the UAE. Expressing gratitude, he extended thanks to the Rulers and the Government of the UAE for their unwavering support and care towards the Indian community, especially during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister Modi shared his vision for India’s progress over the past decade and articulated his confidence in India’s trajectory to become the third-largest economy by 2030, en route to achieving the status of a developed nation – ‘Viksit Bharat’ – by 2047.

Emphasizing India’s role as a global leader (‘Vishwabandhu’), he underscored the nation’s commitment to contributing to global progress and well-being.

The UAE is home to approximately 3.5 million Indian nationals, representing the largest population of Indian citizens anywhere in the world. The preparations for ‘AHLAN MODI’ had been underway for several months, reflecting the anticipation and enthusiasm surrounding this momentous event aimed at celebrating the enduring bonds between India and the UAE.
