New Delhi, 4th June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the stampede in Bengaluru that claimed 11 lives during celebrations for Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) historic IPL victory. Calling the tragedy “heartrending,” the Prime Minister offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
“The mishap in Bengaluru is absolutely heartrending. In this tragic hour, my thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that those who are injured have a speedy recovery,” the Prime Minister’s Office posted on X.

The stampede occurred outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium as a massive crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the RCB players, who had just ended their 18-year IPL title drought. According to officials, at least 11 people died and over 30 others sustained injuries in the incident.
