New Delhi, 24th Nov: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday attended the oath-taking ceremony of Justice Surya Kant as the Chief Justice of India. The ceremony marked the formal beginning of Justice Kant’s tenure as the head of the judiciary.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister conveyed his greetings, stating, “Attended the oath taking ceremony of Justice Surya Kant as the Chief Justice of India. Best wishes to him for his tenure ahead.”

Justice Surya Kant assumed office following the retirement of Justice BR Gavai. His term as the Chief Justice of India will span nearly 15 months.
