Jammu, 12th April.
The debate surrounding a video of Tejashwi Yadav eating fish escalated on Friday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the RJD leader, Lalu Yadav, and Rahul Gandhi, accusing them of reflecting outdated views from the Mughal era.

PM Modi accused the opposition of engaging in appeasement politics and targeting a specific voter base. He claimed that these videos are intentionally shared during Hindu auspicious times to provoke and irritate a large portion of India’s population.

Tejashwi Yadav clarified that the video was recorded before Navratri and was shared to test the intelligence of BJP and pro-government media followers. He criticized the BJP for focusing solely on people’s food choices and clothing, rather than addressing the needs of the citizens.

During a rally in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi referenced a video of Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Yadav cooking mutton, accusing them of disregarding the sentiments of the majority of the population.

He claimed that by sharing such videos during an auspicious Hindu month, the opposition is trying to provoke people and secure their vote bank.

PM Modi also targeted Tejashwi Yadav for sharing a video of consuming non-vegetarian food during Navratri, accusing him of intentionally hurting people’s sentiments.

Tejashwi Yadav responded to PM Modi’s comments by stating that the BJP is avoiding discussing important issues and instead focusing on trivial matters like food choices and clothing. He attacked the BJP for not addressing key concerns in Bihar and for centering their politics around superficial topics.
