Dehradun, 24th July:
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today unveiled the new edition of the book ‘Philosophy and Action of RSS for Hind Swaraj’ at the IRDT auditorium in Dehradun. The event was graced by the presence of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabole and Pragya Pravah convener J. Nandakumar.

Speaking at the launch, Chief Minister Dhami stated that the book, originally written in 1951 by Catholic priest Father Anthony, offers an impartial description of the RSS’s ideology, organizational structure, and working methods. He highlighted that Father Anthony observed the Sangh’s dedication, discipline, and patriotism, noting that he wrote of the organization as a “cornerstone of nation-building.” The Chief Minister asserted that the RSS, through a century of devotion, has fostered cultural resurgence, social harmony, and national service in India, igniting an unbroken flame of national consciousness.

Protecting “Devbhoomi’s” Culture and Demography

Chief Minister Dhami also took the opportunity to reaffirm his government’s resolve to protect the cultural heritage and demographic balance of “Devbhoomi” Uttarakhand. He outlined several stringent measures taken by the state government:

  • Mandatory Bhagavad Gita: The recitation of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita has been made compulsory in government schools.
  • Action Against Land-Jihad: More than 7,000 acres of land have been freed from encroachment as part of a crackdown against “systematic land-jihad.”
  • Illegal Structures Demolished: Over 200 illegal madrassas have been sealed, and more than 500 illegal structures have been removed.
  • “Operation Kalnemi”: The Chief Minister announced ongoing action against “hypocrites and non-believers” who attempt to defame Sanatan Dharma under “Operation Kalnemi.” He sternly warned that such infiltrators would not be tolerated in Uttarakhand.

Chief Minister Dhami concluded by stating that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is in the ‘Amrit Kaal’ of cultural awakening. He assured that the Uttarakhand government would leave no stone unturned in preserving the state’s rich heritage.
