Lucknow, 29th Nov: President Droupadi Murmu on Friday graced the launch ceremony of the Brahma Kumaris’ annual theme for 2025-26, titled ‘Meditation for World Unity and Trust’, at an event held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing the gathering, the President said humanity has witnessed unparalleled progress in the modern age, driven by advances in science, technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and space exploration. These developments, she noted, have made life more convenient, accessible and resource-rich.

President Murmu observed that despite these advancements, society continues to face rising stress, insecurity, distrust and loneliness. In such a scenario, she said, introspection becomes essential. “When we pause and communicate with ourselves, we realise that peace and joy lie within, not outside,” she remarked.

She highlighted that spiritual awakening naturally nurtures love, brotherhood, compassion and unity. A calm and stable mind, she said, plants the seeds of peace in society, which ultimately strengthens the foundation of global harmony. “A strong spirit is the cornerstone for realising the concept of world unity,” she added.

The President praised the Brahma Kumaris for their sustained efforts in the fields of world peace, human values, women’s empowerment, spiritual awareness, education and meditation. She expressed confidence that the organisation will continue to shape a more peaceful and trusting world through its initiatives.
