Kolkata, 29th Oct: A woman has accused Nasir Khan, a convict in the 2012 Park Street gang rape case, and his nephew Junaid Khan, of sexually harassing and attacking her inside the Play Boy Club at Hyatt Regency, Bidhannagar, in the early hours of Sunday.
According to police, the incident occurred around 4:15 am, when the woman was with her husband and friends. In her complaint, she alleged that the accused picked a fight and later assaulted her, threw glass bottles, and touched her inappropriately. When her brother intervened, they allegedly called around 20 men to continue the attack.
The woman claimed she called the police helpline but the exits were blocked by the attackers, who also threatened to kill her later over the phone. Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita for causing hurt, assault, and unlawful confinement.
Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from the club to identify all those involved. Nasir Khan, who was convicted in the Park Street case, was released from prison in 2020, reportedly for good behaviour.
