Over 15 thousand Officers-Employees to be Transferred Ahead of Panchayat and Urban Body Polls

Bhopal, 20^th May. After the Supreme Court’s decision to conduct elections with OBC reservation, the preparation for the elections has also intensified. Urban body elections will be held before the Panchayat elections. The first notification of reservation in Panchayat elections will be issued today.

A meeting was held between the State Government and the State Election Commission on Thursday. After this, the government released the program to fix the reservation in the three-tier panchayat elections. Its notification will be issued on Friday i.e. today. The reservation process will have to be completed by May 25.

Along with this, guidelines for reservation have also been issued. As per the Supreme Court order, there will be no more than 50% reservation limit. First of all, reservation will be decided for SC and ST category. The State Election Commission will also issue the schedule of urban body elections. Municipal elections may start in the first week of July.

The State Election Commission has given instructions for transfer before the issuance of the notification of the election. It also issued a notice to shift the officers and employees who have stayed at the same place for three years in the last four years. Under this, many officers including Deputy Collector, DSP, CEO, District Panchayat, CMO, Municipal Commissioner will be transferred.
