Vrindavan, 22nd Dec: The administration has imposed a ban on the entry of outside vehicles in Vrindavan from December 25 to January 5 to manage the expected surge of devotees during the New Year period.

Even before the arrival of the New Year, pilgrims from across the country have started reaching Vrindavan in large numbers, leading to increased pressure on traffic and civic infrastructure.

To regulate vehicular movement and ensure safety, police have installed barricades at all major entry points to the town and deployed adequate security personnel. Only local and essential vehicles will be allowed entry during the restriction period.

Officials said the measures are aimed at preventing congestion, facilitating smooth movement for devotees, and maintaining law and order during the peak pilgrimage season.
