Operation Sindoor Showed Extraordinary Jointness: Rajnath Singh
Rajnath Singh underscores tri-service jointness and future-ready Armed Forces at book launch.

New Delhi, 22nd Oct: Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh on October 22, 2025, lauded the tri-service coordination demonstrated during Operation Sindoor, calling it an “extraordinary example of jointness and integration” that reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to adaptive and preemptive defence strategies.
Speaking at the launch of the book Civil-Military Fusion as a Metric of National Power & Comprehensive Security by Lt Gen Raj Shukla (Retd), Shri Singh emphasized that modern warfare has evolved beyond traditional battlefields, taking hybrid and asymmetrical forms. He credited the Government, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with reforms to build a future-ready Armed Forces, ensuring national security and strategic autonomy.
“One historic step was creating the post of Chief of Defence Staff, which strengthened coordination among the three Services. Operation Sindoor showcased the results of this integration. Pakistan is still recuperating from the severe blow delivered by our Armed Forces,” he said.
Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted civil-military fusion as a strategic enabler, fostering innovation, preserving talent, and propelling technological self-reliance. He stressed collaboration between industry, private sector, academia, and defence to enhance economic productivity and strategic edge.
“Civil-military fusion is no longer optional; it is essential for national power in today’s technology-driven world. Dual-use innovations, applied across civilian and military domains, can multiply India’s strategic strength,” he said.
The Raksha Mantri also noted India’s transformation into a defence manufacturing hub. Domestic production has surged from Rs 46,000 crore a decade ago to a record Rs 1.51 lakh crore, with approximately Rs 33,000 crore contributed by private players.
The event was attended by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Major General BK Sharma (Retd), and senior civil and military officials.
