New Delhi, 21th Jan. On Sunday, President Droupadi Murmu greeted the people of Meghalaya, Tripura, and Manipur on their respective statehood days. The President observed that these Northeastern states are rapidly advancing along the route of development, wealth, and peace in a post on X.
“Happy Statehood Day to the people of Meghalaya, Tripura, and Manipur! These republics hold significant cultural legacies and are specially endowed with the abundance of nature. They are making headway toward prosperity, peace, and advancement. “I send my warmest regards to the people of Meghalaya, Tripura, and Manipur,” President Murmu said on Sunday from her official X account.

This year is Tripura, Meghalaya, and Manipur’s 52nd foundation day. The North-Eastern Region Re-Organization Act, 1971 made the three Northeastern states full states in 1972.
