New Delhi, 4th Feb: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday paid floral tributes to former Lok Sabha Speaker M. Ananthasayanam Ayyangar in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
The tribute ceremony was held to honour the memory and legacy of Shri Ayyangar, who played a pivotal role in strengthening India’s parliamentary traditions during the early years of the Republic.
Ayyangar is remembered for his commitment to democratic values, constitutional principles and the smooth functioning of parliamentary institutions. His contributions as a presiding officer continue to be regarded as foundational in shaping the conventions of the Lok Sabha.
