No Proposal to Scrap Ministry of Minority Affairs, clarifies Govt

New Delhi, 3rd Oct. The government clarified on Monday that there is no plan to abolish the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
The clarification came in response to a media report that claimed the Centre was planning to scrap the Ministry of Minority Affairs and merge it with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The PIB Fact Check clarified in a tweet, which was retweeted by Union Minority Affairs Minister Smriti Irani, that no such proposal is being considered.
