Nine Dead, Two Injured as Cement-Laden Truck Overturns on Van in MP’s Jhabua

Jhabua, 4th May: A tragic accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua district claimed nine lives and left two injured early Wednesday morning when a cement-laden trailer truck overturned on a van, police officials confirmed.

The victims, all members of the same family, were returning from a marriage function when the accident occurred at approximately 2:30 AM.

According to Jhabua Superintendent of Police Padmavilochan Shukla, the truck lost balance while crossing an under-construction rail over-bridge (ROB) via a temporary road near Sanjeli railway crossing in Meghnagar tehsil. The trailer overturned directly onto the van, leading to the fatal incident.

Authorities have confirmed nine fatalities and two injuries from the accident. Further investigations and relief operations are underway.
