NIELIT Hosts ‘Yuva Rojgar Mela’ in Delhi

Over 750 Candidates Participate in Mega Job Fair at Janakpuri Campus

New Delhi, 21st Feb: The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, organised its Job Fair 2026 – “Yuva Rojgar Mela” at its Delhi centre on Pankha Road, Janakpuri.

The job fair aimed at providing placement opportunities to NIELIT’s alumni and students, with 15 companies shortlisting candidates for over 1,000 job openings across sectors. More than 750 candidates registered for the recruitment drive.

The event was inaugurated by Shri Thalluru Sudhir, Sub-Regional Employment Officer from the Directorate General of Employment, who attended as the Chief Guest. He was welcomed by Smt. Sheetal Chopra, Director In-Charge, NIELIT Delhi. The inaugural ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by an address to participants.

In his remarks, the Chief Guest appreciated NIELIT Delhi’s consistent efforts in organising employment initiatives and acknowledged the participation of leading companies in supporting youth employment.

Placement desks were set up by companies including Siddhi Infonet India Pvt Ltd, PAYTM, Just Dial, Bajaj Capital, Hello Money India Pvt Ltd, HDB Financial Services, My Money Mantra, V5 Global, Axis Bank, Vision Plus Security Control Ltd, Hiringplay Private Limited, Eureka Forbes Ltd, Sonbarsa Financial Services and Consultant Pvt Ltd, 3I Infotech and Axis Max Life Insurance.

Over the years, NIELIT has emerged as a premier institution in Information, Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT) and emerging technologies, with a pan-India presence through 55+ own and extension centres and over 8,500 training partners. The institute’s Ropar campus has been granted the status of Deemed-to-be University under the Distinct category, with multiple constituent units across the country.

The “Yuva Rojgar Mela” reflects NIELIT’s broader commitment to capacity building, skill development and placement support. The institute has reiterated its resolve to organise similar job fairs in the future to strengthen employment opportunities for youth across the country.
